Why a Watch Dog Blog?

1. Watch Dog Blog rhymes and that is reason enough.

2. San Mateo County and the Peninsula doesn't have a Watch Dog Blog (as far as I can tell).

3. There are so many issues swirling about how to charge taxpayers more money for the same services that someone should try and keep track.

4. Californians are subject to so many different layers of government -- the obvious ones, Federal, State, Municipal...and the less obvious ones Transit Agencies, Special Districts, School Districts, Open Space Authorities, Coastal Commissions, Airport Commissions, etc., etc., etc.

5. With so many different levels of government -- one, two, or three of them are coming after more taxes, higher fees, increased rates, etc.

So, this blog will try to keep track, especially things that affect San Mateo County -- where I live. I am not anti-tax or anti-government, but I will stay anonymous. Why? Because I can. But I am for a open access to information, public sluething, and outing hypocrisy -- so that is my goal. If you have your own ideas or your own Watch Dog ideas you think I should mention -- post them below or email me at watchdogsanmateo@gmail.com.

Thank you for your attention...now, onto the Watch Dog Blog.
