Morning News Round-Up -- 10.2.09: Good thing we aren't Chicago...

Sorry about the delay folks... I was waiting to hear the official word from Copenhagen...

Redwood City Council candidates talk about the same ol’ same ol’: money, transportation, housing, and the quality of life. Hopefully this election will be over soon... these issues are kind of a drag. Where is the personal sniping?

San Bruno welcomes home its marines from Iraq! Thanks y'all.

The San Mateo-Foster City School District will take a closer look in San Mateo for a possible campus site. More roadblocks to come? Perhaps San Mateo will be a more welcoming venue than Foster City has been. (Hint to David Lim: Make this a campaign issue...)

Burlingame, Millbrae, and San Mateo are considering merging their Police Departments to save money (a.k.a. sweet salaries and good benefits). No truth to the rumor that the new Department will be called the BurBraeMateo PD.

Can you hear me now? The Portola Valley School District Board won’t allow T-Mobile to install cellular phone equipment atop the roof of the District office. Must be Sprint carriers...

Whoooa. Take the ballgame out... Jefferson High School cut its baseball program because of money? Talk about taking one for the team.
