Supervisor Jerry Hill enters the fray...

It continues to get more intriguing in the SBWMA front. Jerry Hill, in what is described in this story as a "scathing letter" to Kevin McCarthy of the SBWMA, essentially told the SBWMA not to expect a rubber stamp on their recommendations.

Watch Dog is officially putting out the request for a copy of the Jerry Hill letter, or anything else related to this issue. It seems there are letters flying back and forth. Nasty emails from one person to another. In other words, just the type of thing that a whistle-blower/insider would love to share.

Please...pretty please...help a Watch Dog out.

Executive Director Kevin McCarthy response that borderlines on a tantrum to Supervisor Jerry Hill's presentation and Allied Wastes letter suggests something is up and I would be suspicious!

I don't trust Norcal management considering the recent end runs by San Jose Mayor Ron Gonzales has been indicted by a grand jury on bribery and conspiracy charges along with and his top budget aide, Joe Guerra. Although these charges were dismissed, the mayer was censured by the council and Norcal lost their bid.

I think there may be elements of both San Bernardino's and San Jose experience of "insiders"; in this case, SBWMA. I hope someone is investigating, following the money, the layers people and their plausible denials.

I am no fan of Jerry Hill, but he deserves kudos and South Bayside Waste Management Authority’s is highhanded to expect a brand new facility. It is an overreaction by McCarthy that concerns me and ought to concern or countywide politicians their representative members of the JPA and the councils that have to pass on the Norcal!

Supervisor Jerry Hill did a good job in presenting Allied Wastes position and the letter should be headed. We can best use our tax money elsewhere! There is no reason to tear down a good facility and every reason to extend the facility buildings and reconfiguring the operation.
