Atherton City Attorney Stepping Down...All of a Sudden

My spies were buzzing this morning in Atherton. They warn me that things in Atherton are rarely as they seems.

So while this story makes it seem like the City Attorney Mark Hynes is stepping down because "It's time" -- there may be more to this story later. Who knows for sure?

Anyway, there is a great quote in the story from the outgoing Mayor Jim Janz: "It was news to me." Way to be on top of things Mayor Janz -- very Bush-esque. The City Attorney is only one of the Atherton's highest ranking employees -- I guess there is really no reason to know how he feels about this job.
