High Speed Rail, the Peninsula, and You...

How will high speed rail impact you, especially if you live by the tracks?

That's what folks will be discussing on Saturday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. at SamTrans headquarters at 1250 San Carlos Ave. in San Carlos. This, according to today's Palo Alto Daily News.

Rod Diridon, the train-meister himself, has a great quote in the story:

"There's no such thing as a free lunch or a free train ride."

So true Conductor Diridon, so true.

(You'll remember that the good folks in Atherton aren't amused by high-speed rail, as previously reported on Watch Dog, and they have hired lawyers to let everyone know just how unamused they are.)
