Reason #1 for Kevin McCarthy to use a thesaurus...

Watch Dog reported yesterday on a story from the Daily Post: "County trash talk gets personal." Well, Watch Dog got a tip from another unnamed insider who has a follow-up to that story. To refresh your memory, the story had this nugget:

In response to Allied's original letter, McCarthy contacted the companies that had bid on the trash contracts and asked them to write a letter endorsing the process used to award the contracts.

Well, Supervisor Jerry Hill had a problem with that and called out McCarthy's own 'transparency.'

Through Watch Dog's inside source, I got a look at McCarthy's letters he solicited from these bidders. They are suspect in so many ways, but they also say almost the same thing using the same words, "transparency," "integrity," "professionalism." It is as if Kevin McCarthy didn't didn't consult a thesaurus when they drafted these letters, perhaps he should have.

For his future reference, Watch Dog recommends thesaurus.com. (You are welcome.)
