Here is an issue previously un-discussed at Watch Dog:
Taxpayer dollars are still being collected to fund the Sequoia Healthcare District. However, they no longer run a hospital - they relinquished it to Catholic Healthcare West. The District spent $7 million last year on programs and services, according to today's story.
Now the big question: what to spend the money on now? OR, as one District Board member seems to be advocating, is the District even necessary?
Well, Board Member Hickey and the rest of the Sequoia Healthcare District, come to Watch Dog San Mateo and explain your position...we are all ears.
