A little self-promotion never hurt anyone...or any newspaper...

...but it was a little obvious today.

In today's Daily News, it seems a trend has started. Whenever they are first to cover a story, it seems readers will hear about it forever.

Consider today's paper:

From the story about Carlmont High School's newspaper:

"As first reported by the Daily Journal Nov. 11..."

From the story about the pot seizure at the house fire in Millbrae:

"As first reported in the Daily Journal Wednesday..."

Watch Dog has no problem with this -- I just thought I'd point it out.
