$1,000 to Yes on Prop 8? Watch Dog shines the light...

Watch Dog has written about those that supported Proposition 8 before. We even asked where you stored your extra stuff, because A1 Storage supported Proposition 8 in November.

Now (thanks to a loyal Watch Dog), we learn another local wrinkle in the Proposition 8 funding. Someone with real power locally supported the passage of Proposition 8. But before we get to the punchline, let's review how Proposition 8 did in San Mateo County:
Proposition 8:
Eliminates Right of Same-Sex Couples to Marry (San Mateo County results)
Yes: 114,695 (38.2%)
No: 185,127 (61.8%)
The County voted overwhelmingly NO to Proposition 8. But that didn't deter James Hardy, the City Manager of Foster City, who contributed $1,000 to the Yes on Proposition 8 campaign:

Mr. Hardy can do whatever he wants... but Watch Dog (and others) can also draw attention to his contribution... which we are doing here.

This is a very interesting move from someone in a politically-sensitive position. In addition, a Deborah Hardy gave $800. Is this Jim Hardy's wife?

Also, looking at Foster City on the whole, it seems that Councilmember Linda Koelling gave $250 in support of Prop 8.

Weird.
