Daily News Update (hint: I don't like it)

I think I figured it out -- but I don't like it one bit.

It seems that you need to register with the Daily News papers in order to see their online versions. You can see their headlines, but not the full story.

Most importantly for Watch Dog readers -- I can't really link to their stories.

Why?

I welcome anyone from the Daily News to respond with a reason why they won't allow links to their sites. The New York Times does. The Chronicle does. The Mercury News does.

I'm only trying to get more people to read their stories, and thus, see their ads. What gives?
